Community Guidelines

ShaadiProfile is built on trust. These Community Guidelines exist to ensure every person on our platform feels safe, respected, and valued. By using ShaadiProfile you agree to follow these standards. Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or permanent account termination.

Be Honest

  • Use real photos of yourself — no celebrity images, group photos as your primary photo, or heavily filtered images that misrepresent your appearance.
  • Provide accurate personal information including age, marital status, and location.
  • Do not misrepresent your marital status. Only individuals who are single, divorced, widowed, or otherwise legally eligible to remarry may register on this platform.
  • Do not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person.

Be Respectful

  • Treat every member with dignity regardless of their religion, caste, community, gender, or background.
  • Do not send offensive, abusive, or discriminatory messages.
  • Accept rejections gracefully — everyone has the right to decline an interest or stop a conversation.
  • Do not pressure, guilt, or coerce another user into continuing contact.
  • Do not stalk, threaten, or engage in any behaviour that makes another user feel unsafe, whether online or through contact information obtained from this platform.

Keep Conversations Appropriate

  • Do not send sexually explicit messages or unsolicited explicit content.
  • Do not share or request intimate images.
  • Keep your first interactions respectful and genuine.

Protect Your Safety & Others’

  • Never share your financial details, passwords, or OTPs with anyone you meet on the platform.
  • Be cautious about sharing your home address or workplace early in a connection.
  • Report any user who asks you for money or makes you feel unsafe.
  • Do not share another user’s personal information without their explicit consent.

No Scams or Fraud

  • Do not use the platform to solicit money, gifts, or financial assistance from other users.
  • Do not represent yourself as a matrimony agent or recruiter without disclosure.
  • Do not use the platform to advertise products or services.

No Hate Speech

  • Content that promotes violence or hatred against any group based on religion, caste, race, gender, sexuality, disability, or nationality is strictly prohibited.
  • Do not use slurs or derogatory language of any kind.

Your Safety — Tips for Staying Safe

Matrimonial connections begin online but involve real people and significant life decisions. Please keep the following safety tips in mind:

  • Never send money — Do not send money, gift cards, or any form of financial assistance to someone you have only met online, regardless of their story or circumstances.
  • Protect your credentials — Never share your passwords, OTPs, banking PINs, or financial account details with anyone you meet on this platform.
  • Verify independently — Before making any major personal decision (such as engagement or marriage), independently verify important information such as employment, family background, and identity.
  • Meet safely — When meeting someone for the first time, choose a public place, let a trusted person know where you are going, and arrange your own transport.
  • Report suspicious behaviour — Use the “Report” button on any profile or message if you suspect fraud, impersonation, or inappropriate behaviour.
  • Report money requests — Any user who asks you for money or financial help should be reported immediately.
  • Trust your instincts — If something feels wrong, step back and report the profile. Your safety is more important than any connection.
  • Emergency services — If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (dial 100 for police in India). Do not rely on this platform for emergency assistance.

Reporting & Enforcement

Use the “Report” button on any profile or message to flag behaviour that violates these guidelines. Our moderation team reviews reports as part of a regular review process — reports are not monitored in real time. Depending on the severity of a violation, we may issue a warning, temporarily suspend, or permanently ban the offending account.

If you believe you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services first. Do not rely on this platform for emergency assistance.
