Cookie & Local Storage Policy

This policy describes cookies and similar browser storage used by the ShaadiProfile website. Mobile apps use device storage with equivalent functional purposes but do not use browser cookies.

1. Essential storage

The web application uses local and session storage for signed-in state, session tokens, onboarding state, display preferences, and request continuity. This storage is needed to provide requested features. Browser-side token obfuscation is not a substitute for device security; do not use ShaadiProfile on an untrusted shared device.

2. First-party operational measurement

We record limited server-side security and service events such as successful or failed login, platform, feature use, and session activity. Sensitive metadata keys are filtered, raw query strings are not retained in request logs, and first-party analytics events are deleted after 400 days. These events support abuse prevention, reliability, and aggregate product reporting.

3. Optional analytics providers

Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, or PostHog scripts load only when the corresponding production configuration is present and you select “Allow analytics”. Selecting “Essential only” prevents those optional scripts from loading. Provider processing is also governed by the provider’s terms and privacy information.

4. Payment provider

Razorpay may use its own storage when you deliberately open its checkout. New paid purchases are disabled by default until the final purchase policies are approved and published.

5. Managing browser data

You may clear site data through your browser. Clearing essential storage signs you out and may remove unsaved preferences. You can change the optional analytics choice above at any time; the new choice applies to subsequent page activity.
